We provide safe and secure housing through a live-in leadership program for youth experiencing foster care. We collaborate with community partners to provide holistic support to society’s most vulnerable youth.

It all started when…
as a little girl, Cortney envisioned herself running an orphanage and being a missionary. Although her child-like faith needed maturing, she wanted to tell people about Jesus at a young age.
Wayne and JoAnne Mitchell met Cortney as an 18 year old freshman in college during a ministry conference in the Midwest for college students. They briefly stayed connected through Facebook, but in recent years started to communicate more frequently.
The Mitchells launched their ministry of rescuing young people decades ago in America, reached African orphans 20 years ago, and now seek to expand in America, rescuing foster care youth from homelessness. New Beginnings Orphanages International (NBOI) partnered with Executive Director, Cortney Cross, to launch NBOI-USA in October 2023.
